“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” William Arthur Ward
I have so many things to be grateful for!
So do you.
Write them in your letter to your grandchildren. It both helps you with your happiness and helps your grandchildren with theirs. My wife has a wonderful habit of listing her blessings first thing in the morning. I list mine weekly.
Health
A day without pain
Retirement
A happy marriage
Bike rides
My library of books
My children and grandchildren
French roast coffee with pumpkin spice creamer
Afternoon nap
A car that runs and I don't have to repair
Waking up this morning
Songs
A kiss and a hug
My wife's laughter
Good food
Laughing
Reading a book to a grandchild
Sharing Calvin and Hobbes
Helping someone that really needs it
A random act of intentional kindness
Life cereal
A good night's sleep
Playing games with my family
Recliner
Air conditioning
A meaningful gift from a friend
Riding a bike downhill handsfree
Retirement
