Everyone Has a Story

We all have so many stories to tell. The happy moments. The funny. Those about gratitude. Stories about loss. Telling stories is what humans have been doing for hundreds of thousands of years. They unite us as a family.
We just gathered together as a family on Mother's Day and it was wonderful! One of the best parts for me was when our grown children started sharing stories about when my wife and I were less than stellar parents. They were not said in anger, they were shared with lots of laughter. They loved telling these stories and the grandchildren loved, loved, loved hearing them. They have become family lore and legend. We will all laugh together in unifying stories the next time they are told and generations from now when they are read as stories in letter.
