"The influence of a mother in the lives of her children is beyond calculation."
I owe my mother my life. I was conceived in her. She carried me for nine months. She fed and changed me for months as I was helpless. She was my first love. She taught me how to walk and speak. Most importantly, she was my source of love, kindness and tenderness. Not only in my infancy, but throughout her entire life.
She demonstrated the power of faith in the way she handled great challenges. I could believe in a loving God because she gave me so much love. She showed me that hard work, dedication and sacrifice are part of life and showed me how to offer up that hard work to something bigger than myself. She taught me how essential and important forgiveness would be in my life as she would love the sinner, but hate the sin. She also taught me how to make a marriage work by working on it daily and she showed me how loving, hugging, squeezing, kissing, smiling, forgiving, supporting, forgiving, singing, dancing, laughing, supporting, tender, compassionate and passionate a union of two people could be.
Oh, my mother! You did so much for me. Let my life make you happy and proud. Let me tell your story when I write my letter to my grandchildren.
