    This Tool is For You

I took my car to a carwash. On the side of the building is a magnificent mural. It depicts an old native American passing a grinding bowl to his grandson. Because I see signs everywhere, I see "Writing a Letter to Your Grandchildren" in this message evoking image.

Here is a grandfather passing on a tool to his grandson. He is passing on his life stories and his best words of wisdom to his grandchild. There is a beautiful orange tree in the background. The grandfather is not passing a delicious orange to his grandson that will provide food for one day. He his passing on a tool that can be used day after day after day. I love how the grandson is shown smiling. He is very happy to receive the gift.

The sky is a beautiful sunrise, sunset or both. The sunset of the grandfather's life and the sunrise of the grandson's life. The artist could have painted a beautiful blue sky with puffy white clouds, but intentionally chose to paint a transitional sky.

And because I see signs everywhere I even saw meaning in the white bollards and the purple bucket. The bollards are there to protect the wall from bad drivers - just like a letter can protect the grandchildren from life's dangers. I have new grandchild. She is magnificently pretty and very, very happy. She fills my bucket. I have another grandchild whose favorite color is purple.

Everywhere I look, I see signs of how helpful it would be write a letter to your grandchildren.
